About:
Chelsea Melaine is a Telegraph Point based artist and photographer.
Chelsea enjoys experimenting with style and technique and creating little worlds through her art. Animals are a common subject across her work and she has a particular fondness for drawing cats. Chelsea is interested in not just the final product of art, but the process of creating it and how each mark on the page captures a point in time.
Chelsea has a Diploma of Production Design from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and a Bachelor of Creative Industries with a specialisation in Visual Art and Graphic Design from Charles Sturt University. During her bachelor degree, she participated in a global study program and completed part of her study at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management, during which she got to geek out about birds and insects. She has shown her work at Sydney Supanova and ComicCon Artist Alleys, Bloom 2021 and during the 2020 and 2025 Port Macquarie ArtWalks.

You’ll get a crash course in watercolour painting and a chance to explore your own style, with materials provided. Sessions run for approximately 2 hours for up to 20 people.
